antique 1800s browned ironstone china sugar bowl, mulberry purple transferware pastoral print
more photos of this product belowVictorian era ironstone china dish with plum purple transfer print (somewhat roughly applied, but a lovely English countryside view with hay in the field and a milkmaid or shepherdess).
No clearly visible makers marks on this piece, but I'd guess that it's English, 1850s - 1870s. It's a large lump sugar bowl or biscuit jar (no lid), about 7" across the handles, a little over 4" tall.
It's very stained, and has chips and wear as shown. It's a beautiful thing just as it is, nice for flowers or greenery or just for display.
