This piece I believe is probably toward the earlier part of that period - it has a makers mark I've never seen before. Marking is Ironstone China - J. &E.M. - Warranted, with the Royal Arms and 8 and 2 on either side (1882?).
It's 9" across the rim of the bowl, a large soup plate (though it would also be a fine serving dish). No chips or cracks, though there's plenty of glaze crazing!
