antique horse harness hooks on salvage barn wood, rustic architectural hardware

Here's a pair of interesting old iron hooks mounted on old wood, burned off at one end. I'm not exactly sure what these were a part of originally, a piece of old horse drawn farm equipment, I think?

The hooks measure about 3" x 2 1/4" overall, and the wood is about 13" long. These make wonderfully rustic architectural pieces just as they are!
