1920s vintage translucent white milk glass umbrella stand or vase, all hand painted, roses and encrusted gold.
This looks like Bohemian glass to us - the hand blown blue tinged 'skim milk' color, the gold moriage, the lavish floral. It's not marked or signed that I could find.
It measures nearly 15" tall, and has a good weighty heft to it, heavier at the bottom, much thinner over the rest of the piece.
It would hold flowers or branches easily, or a light weight walking stick, umbrella or parasol or two (carefully placed, not just dropped down to the bottom!)
Condition is excellent, nice and clean, no noticeable wear to the paint. A pretty antique piece, it's hard to find these large urns around, at about 100 years old.
