ornate gold ormolu style vintage metal frame, round picture frame, needlework or plate holder

Vintage metal frame for a flat china plate or a round picture (or possibly needlework?). This has gold colored finish, very pretty, like ormolu.

This is 8" across the rim, made to hold a circle 6" in diameter. Condition is very good, just a little wear, some tarnish or discoloration.
