vintage Vantines incense burner, cast metal Indian elephant figure made in France

1920s vintage Vantines incense burner, a cast metal elephant with worn old paint. This is so pretty!

It measures about 6" long x 5 1/2" tall overall. I've been told that these elephants (and other Vantines designs) were made in France, but I just can't make out enough to the marking to actually read it.
