1940s 50s vintage cotton print applique embroidered quilt blocks, 30 squares all butterflies

Lot of 30 mid century vintage quilt blocks with hand stitched applique and embroidery, all butterflies on unbleached muslin backgrounds.

These are a little roughly made, faces on the butterflies are sometimes a little crooked, or the cotton blocks not perfectly sized or centered. (Smallest block is about 9" x 10".)

The cotton fabrics used for the butterflies were mostly 'rag bag' pieces of old dresses, aprons, shirts and do have some fading, or spots. Very charming, anyway!
