Ernest Steiner tiny brass walnut, vintage sewing case trinket box, hinged ring box

Beautifully detailed life sized walnut, an Ernest Steiner hinged brass box with a velvety lining. This has some wear (painted finish is worn, and this has wear to the lining material). There's no latch to fasten the box closed, I'm not sure that it ever had a latch at all. Still a very sweet unusual piece to hold jewelry (an engagement ring!) or a tiny momento.
