Paris brown transferware poppy floral antique vintage Johnson Brothers china salad plates

Set of eight lovely old semi-porcelain salad plates with transferware poppies design in brown on white. These are fairly heavy, and look more like true ironstone than semi-porcelain.

This pattern is called Paris, it's marked Johnson Bros - England. The plates are 8" in diameter. We'd guess their age at turn of the century vintage, give or take a decade.

These have been used, and have some foxing and discoloration, as well as light wear. Overall, a lovely set of antique English transferware china plates.
