Urban Outfitters modern white ceramic vase, nature theme barnacle shells or cactus

Modern white glazed ceramic vase from Urban Outfitters, a cluster of smaller vases grouped together into a large statement piece (about 7" x 7 1/2" overall).

There's some debate here as to what this form is supposed to be. It looks something like barnacles (and the coastal theme works well with the white glaze).

But then, who ever heard of barnacles full of flowers? So maybe it's cacti after all. A few bright bold flowers work well here if this was a cactus!

Definitely a mod style with natural elements influences, in any case. It's in good, gently used condition, no makers marks.
