vintage Italian alabaster marble column lamp pedestal stand

Vintage old italian alabaster pedestal stand. We think this pillar is 1940s vintage and was probably brought back from Italy after the war.

It stands 25 inches high and is 8 1/2 inches across the top and 12" across the pillar base.

It is in shabby condition and has a large section broken off of the pedestal base (shown in the 4th photo) as well as some other minor chipping and wear.

There is a heavy iron rod through the center of the column to hold the different pieces of alabaster together.
