antique Chatillon brass scales, 25 lb & 50 lb hanging scale 1800s patent dates

Beautiful 1800s vintage Chatillon spring scales with brass face plates on iron bodies with the original black paint, all iron hooks.

The smaller scale holds up to 25 pounds and measures about 8" long overall. The larger scale holds up to 50 pounds, and measures about 16 1/2" long overall.

These seem to work just fine, though the brass is very tarnished, and there's wear and light rust to the black japanned finish on the ironwork.
