antique curved blade mezzaluna rocking chopper knife, Landers Frary Clark forged steel

Beautifully marked antique forged steel rocking knife from Landers, Frary & Clark, Aetna Works (New Britain Connecticut).

This is roughly turn of the century vintage, circa 1900.

The blade looks very good, with very little edge wear, slight rust spotting. The wooden handle is original, we think.

This measures 6 1/2" wide x 7" tall overall. A elegantly simple, functional piece which is as at home in a kitchen today as it was over 100 years ago!
