1920s vintage Champion butter pat cutter, heavy duty steel slicer, antique kitchen tool

Vintage Champion heavy steel butter cutter (designed to hold up to a one pound block of butter), with patent dates 1916 and 1924. This works fine, just as it is... we're guessing that it used to hold a knob handle or finial where the rod is threaded at the top.
