carved marble lamp, classical fluted column Italian alabaster stone table lamp

Vintage carved stone lamp in an unusual small size, just 9 1/2" to the top of the light bulb socket.

The base is probably mid-century vintage, made in Italy. The stone has been polished and varnished, and has a beautiful warm glow of old ivory.

This has been rewired at some point using a very odd clunky cord and a new socket not really in keeping with the age or quality of the base - it works fine but looks awful, you might want to rewire it yourself!
