hand painted bird & water lily black lacquerware wood jewelry box tea chest drawers

Made in China hand painted wood jewelry chest with hand painted bird and water lilies on black lacquer. I'm not certain as to the vintage of this piece (maybe 10-20 years old?). The traditional shape and design are classic and timeless.

This measures 8" x 5" x 5 1/2" tall, and is finished with brass hardware. The back of the box has some buckling to the varnish - it's been used, though it's clean inside and out.
