old cast metal spelter lamp base, decorative urn pitcher in blue enamel & gold

This is a lovely decorative cast metal 'pitcher', not a functional vessel - we're thinking it was intended as a lamp base, or just as a large sculptural objet d'art.

It's not marked at all the we could find, we're guessing it to be 1920s, 30s or 40s vintage. It's about 16" tall overall.

There's a few scuffs to the painted finish, showing the base metal (spelter) beneath the gold and the blue.
