antique architectural hardware, vintage cast iron register grate, old ironwork

Early 1900s vintage, cast iron architectural heating register grating for wall or floor. Measures 19 1/4" x 14" overall, and 17" x 12" at the fitter.

This has been painted many years ago (several times, by the look of it!). It's not marked that we saw, but possibly the lettering might be covered by the layers of old paint.

The ironwork is in very good shape, no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs.
