unusual old round red tin sewing box w/ original vintage paint, 1938 patent number

Old red tin sewing box with beautiful primitive paint and a patent number! A search of the patent number brings up the patent drawings for this piece, and confirms it's a sewing box from 1938.

This is 7 3/4" in diameter overall, it's almost more like a tea tin than a sewing box. We love this thing.
