vintage Aztec style hand painted Mexican pottery teapot, red clay terracotta

Beautifully made vintage Mexican pottery tea pot in very good condition, no wear, no chips or cracks.

This has a very detailed hand painted border which looks like something typically described as Aztec, though I don't know the actual origin of this pot.

I've only found one other example of a design like this, in the internet archives of the Field Museum. This isn't marked or signed at all that I could see, but I think it's late 20th century. Vintage, not antique.
