vintage English crockery kitchen canister jar, barn red bands on cream pottery

Vintage British Anchor ceramic canister jar, showing beautiful age and crazing with some staining and browning. This was probably a tea canister, I think! It's in good condition overall, no chips or cracks.

The mark is British Anchor - Made in England - Great Britain. Jar measures about 4 1/4" in diameter x 6" tall with the lid on it. The barn red bands and crosshatch pattern are hand painted, original to the piece.
